The short version. Teleprompter works fully offline and without an account. Your videos are recorded and saved on your own device — we never upload, receive, or see them. If you choose to sign in, only your script titles and text are synced so you can use them on another device. There are no ads, no analytics, no trackers, and we never sell your data.
This Privacy Policy explains how AlgoPort Inc. ("AlgoPort", "we", "us") handles information in the Teleprompter mobile application for Android and iOS, and the web prompter at postcrows.com/teleprompter (together, the "App").
By using the App you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the App.

As a Canadian company we handle personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), alongside the other laws described below where they apply to you.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you give us

Signing in is entirely optional. Signed out, the App stores everything only on your device and sends us nothing.
You may sign in three ways: an emailed one-time link, Google, or Apple. We never see or store a password in any case. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose "Hide My Email", we only ever receive Apple's private relay address, never your real one.
2.2 Device permissions we request

Camera and microphone data never reaches our servers. Video and audio are processed entirely on your device and written to your own storage. There is no upload feature, no cloud rendering, and no backup of recordings. If you delete a recording from your device, it is gone — we hold no copy.
2.3 Information stored only on your device

- App settings — scroll speed, text size and width, line spacing, theme, typeface, mirror and flip, countdown
- Your sign-in session token, when signed in
- Video files you record, until you delete them
You can clear all of this by deleting the App from your device.
2.4 What we do not collect
- No advertising identifiers and no advertising of any kind
- No analytics or usage-tracking SDKs
- No crash-reporting SDKs
- No location data
- No contacts, calendar, call logs or SMS
- No payment or card details — the App is free and contains no purchases
- No biometric data and no facial recognition or eye tracking of any kind
3. How we use information
We use the limited information we hold only to:
- Authenticate you when you sign in
- Store and sync your scripts between your own devices
- Respond to support requests you send us
- Meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
We do not use your scripts to train machine-learning models, and we do not read them except where strictly necessary to investigate a support request you have raised or to comply with the law.

- Consent — for optional device permissions such as camera and microphone, which you may withdraw in your device settings at any time
- Legitimate interests — keeping the service secure and preventing abuse
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose data by law
5. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for advertising or marketing purposes.
We use a small number of service providers who process data strictly on our instructions:

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety and property of AlgoPort Inc. or others. If our business is transferred, information may pass to the acquirer under this same policy.
6. International transfers
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where data is transferred out of the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Security
- All traffic between the App and our servers uses TLS encryption
- Script data is protected by row-level security, so your account can only ever read and write its own rows
- Sign-in uses one-time email links; we never store passwords
- Recordings never leave your device, which removes an entire class of risk
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data retention
- Scripts synced to your account — kept until you delete them or delete your account
- Account record and email — kept while your account is active; deleted within 30 days of a deletion request
- Server logs — retained by our hosting provider for a short period for security and diagnostics
- Anything stored on your device — under your control, removed when you delete the App
9. Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time:
- In the App: open Settings, then Account, then Delete account. This permanently removes your account and every script synced to it.
- By email: write to hello@postcrows.com from the address associated with your account, with the subject "Teleprompter account deletion".
Deletion removes your account record, your email address and all synced script titles and text. It cannot be undone. We complete requests within 30 days. Recordings and scripts held only on your device are not affected — delete the App to remove those.
You can also simply sign out and keep using the App entirely offline.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal information, to receive a portable copy, and to withdraw consent. EEA and UK users may lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion or correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
To exercise any right, contact hello@postcrows.com. We respond within the period required by applicable law and will not charge you for a reasonable request.
11. Children
Teleprompter is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact hello@postcrows.com and we will delete it promptly.
12. Third-party links
The App and this site may link to services we do not operate. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please review their policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App evolves. We will revise the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we will provide a more prominent notice in the App or by email where we have one. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
